Artist Statement
My art practice highlights the beauty of our planet mainly focusing on endangered species and environments that are affected by human negligence. I collect and recycle materials from my own environment that otherwise would be thrown away, or left outside causing issues to our wildlife, turning them into sculptures or adding them to my paintings to shed light on waste and plastic pollution. I like to make my pieces colourful and eye catching to capture the viewers’ attention which then draws them into the dark reality of the work. I wish to create a discussion and hope for people to act against our planet’s issues
